EN ISO 20471:2013+A1:2016 Class 2

RIPSTOP fabrics feature woven fabrics using a special reinforcing technique that makes them resistant to tearing and ripping. During weaving, (thick) reinforcement threads are interwoven at regular intervals in a crosshatch pattern. 

Advantages of rip-stop are the favorable strength-to-weight ratio and that small tears cannot easily spread. Rip-stop fabrics are used in yacht sails, hot air balloons, kites, parachutes, remote control hovercrafts, camping equipment, and other applications requiring a strong lightweight fabric. Rip-stop reinforcement is incorporated into heavier fabrics requiring extreme durability.

 

Protective garments with enhanced visibility. High visibility garments have fluorescent surfaces and reflectors that conform to certification requirements on the design according to three different classes and have been tested before and after washing.
